Many congratulations to Emma and John Paul who recently tied the knot at Orsett Hall in Essex. It was great to be back having recently photographed Gemma and Mark’s wedding there in April.

John Paul’s family are no strangers to me having photographed his sister Sarah’s wedding a few years ago. So it was good to meet up again and see some familiar faces.

Many congratulations to Jenn and Nick who recently got married at St Mary’s Church in Burghfield followed by a reception at Wokefield Park. And it was great to be local for a change at a venue and church I know really well.

Below are some more favourites from the day which started with some shots of Jenn at her parents’ home. Then a short drive to St Mary’s for the ceremony and finally on to Wokefield for the reception. A nice, relaxed and informal day all round which had an international feel with Nick’s family over from my favourite part of Italy, Puglia.

I always love photographing weddings in London – the buzz, the excitement, the variety which keeps the adrenaline flowing. And Jenni and Chris’ wedding was no exception !

I started off with Jenni’s prep shots at The Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch and then jumped on a double decker bus with some of the guests to the church in Stoke Newington. This was a lovely church with great light and a very accomodating vicar who was also a family friend of Jenni’s. Then a surprise for Jenni and Chris as they exited the church in the form of a dove release. I was really pleased to nail this shot pretty successfully which is sometimes hit and miss. Then back on the double decker to the reception at The Drapers Arms in Islington – a really lovely and intimate pub serving great food.

Here’s some favourites from I session I did recently (actually the same day Wills and Katie tied the knot).

Next month I’ll be photographing Sarah and Alex’s wedding which promises to be a real English affair deep in the Gloucestershire countryside. Can’t wait !

We decided to do the session close to their home to take advantage of the spring weather and natural beauty of the area. But I never knew how close they were to Castle Combe -  ‘The Prettiest Village in England’ so was delighted to be able to take some shots there. And it was very quiet for once due to the Royal wedding.

Here’s some favourite images from Jane and Peter’s recent wedding.

It couldn’t get any closer for me with the church, St Peters, across the road from my studio. And then it was a short 10 minute drive to the reception at The Bird in Hand in Knowl Hill. I wish all my weddings were this close !

Reading wedding photographer

Here’s a selection of favourite images from Jenni and Chris’ session I photographed recently. This is also a warm up for their wedding taking place later this month in Islington

We decided to use St Pancras station for the main part. And how it has improved since I was last there ! Its perfect for photography as well with not only lots of space but great light as well. Also note the huge Olympic logo which will greet the many visitors next year.

Later on we headed towards Camden Market and alongside the canal which is another great place for photography. With so much going on, you’re spoilt for choice.

Many congratulations to Kat and Tony who recently got married at the impressive Nonsuch Mansion in Surrey

This is such a fantastic venue not only from a photographic point of view but also for all weddings – great staff, food and such a lovely intimate atmosphere. And what perfect weather we had – sparkling sunshine, warmer than the Mediterranean !

There was a real international feel as well with guests not only from the UK but also from Germany and Finland which is where Kat’s family come from. A truly wonderful wedding, one that I’ll never forget. As a result I shot more photos than I normally do which is also the reason for the slight delay in preparing these. Gratulation an Kat und Tony die kürzlich in der eindruckvollen Nonsuch Mansion in Surrey geheiratet haben.  Das is ein großartiger Ort, nicht nur aus einer photographischen Perspektive sondern auch für Hochzeiten im allgemeinen – tolle Belegschaft, gutes Essen und so eine entzückende intime Atmosphäre. Und was für ein perfektes Wetter wir hatten – strahlende Sonne und wärmer als am Mittelmeer!

Die Hochzeit hatte ein sehr internationales Gefühl, weil die Gäste nicht nur aus England sondern auch aus Deutchland und Finnland kamen, woher Kat´s Familie ist. Eine wirkliche wunderschöne Hochzeit, die ich nie vergessen werde. Aus diesem Grund habe ich auch mehr Fotos gemacht als sontst, und daher auch etwas länger gebraucht. Tämä on niin upea paikka paitsi valokuvaus näkökulmasta, vaan myös kaikille häihin- loistava henkilökunta, ruoka ja niin ihana intiimi tunnelma. Ja mitä täydellinen sääolimme – kuohuviini auringonpaisteessa, lämpimämpi kuin Välimeren!

Oli todellinen kansainvälinen tunnelma sekä vieraiden paitsi Yhdistyneessä kuningaskunnassa, mutta myös Saksa ja Suomi, joka on kun Kat perheen kotoisin.todella ihana häät, joka en koskaan unohda. This was my first ever visit there in my 27 year career and just like waiting for buses I’m back there again next month ! This was a truly memeorable day with beautiful spring weather, a stunning venue and a really fun and laid back couple in Mark and Gemma, who I’m told, found romance by the milkshake machine in MacDonalds ! And then of course Mark’s grand entrance by helicopter !
