Many congratulations to Gerry and Rich who tied the knot at one of my favourite local venues, Monkey Island in Bray. I love working outdoors not only for the nice light but also having more freedom to move around. So it was great to have the actual ceremony on the lawn right next to the river. This was followed by the reception at the back of the building with some excellent speeches and lots of tears and laughter ! And then the evening disco was one of the liveliest I seen for a while. I enjoyed it so much I stayed on shooting beyond the agreed finish time !

Congratulations to Anna and Kong who tied the knot at The Guild Hall in Windsor followed by a reception at The Olde Bell in Hurley.

Here are some favourites from the day which started with prep shots at Anna’s home. And then it was on to the Guild Hall for the ceremony which provides manygreat photo opportunities. After the ceremony Anna and Kong wanted a few shots around the crowded streets of Windsor just like we did with their engagement photos. This was quite a challenge but great fun to do.

And then finally on to The Olde Bell for a relaxed and intimate reception. I must mention the superb food including 3 suckling pigs (not a good sight for vegetarians) and also the Chinese lion ceremony at the end. The lovely, soothing background music was by the pianist Tom Green who I later discovered is a recent portrait client of mine. Small world !

I always look forward to the first wedding of the year in particular Heidi and Karl’s who had their reception at my favourite restaurant – Bluebells in Sunningdale. Not only that but they wanted absolutely no formal group shots.

The day started with some prep shots of Heidi getting ready followed by the ceremony itself at the historic Guildhall in Windsor. Afterwards a  London double decker bus transported the guests to Bluebells. It was good to meet a familiar face again – Mike Taylor the Saxophonist. I’ve met Mike on several weddings during the last year and his music always inspires me to take great photos ! Anyhow, as expected, the food, service and general atmosphere was second to none and hopefully from the images below you will see what I mean.

My last wedding in September and what a great month it’s been. This was no exception with Julie and James fantastic wedding at The Great House in Sonning On Thames, Berkshire.

Sonning is only 10 minutes from me and if I was a football team it’d be like playing at home. I started the day off by photographing Julie at home and then a short 2 minute drive to the picturesque St Andrews Church for the ceremony. After this we all made the short walk across the road to The Great House for the reception. As with my other weddings this month we were blessed with beautiful early evening light. Berkshire Wedding Photographer

I was pleased to get an award, 18th place, for this image in the recent WPJA 2nd quarter judging.

This was taken at Praveen and Harmeets wedding I photographed in July this year. It took place over 3 days and this particular image was taken on day 1 at Praveen’s parents home straight after the Henna ceremony. This was extremely difficult to take as I was crammed up against a wall and couldn’t get the camera to my eye. I therefore had to guess, manually focusing.

Fortunately it worked out OK and was well worth the effort.

Many congratulations to Louise and Anthony who had a fantastic wedding at Mapledurham church followed by a marquee reception next door on the lawn. Such a beautiful and picturesque location, one of my favourites.
